VideoFilm Production Services

We use the term "VideoFilm" because of our Panasonic broadcast quality cameras. They are capable of giving your project a variety of "looks," from that of a live news show (shot at 60i) to the more cinematic look of film (shot at 24fps). We currently offer the following basic services and can provide exceptional quality for a small company. Keep in mind that the more complex the project, the more additional personnel and/or equipment might be needed. Most can be done with 1 - 2 LHP personnel.

 

 

Short Films/Documentaries

Every aspect of your project from Pre-Production (concept/script) to Production (filming, lighting, sound recording) through Post Production (editing, sound design, mixdown, titles) can be professionally handled. Music Videos

We offer several music video packages:

"Performance Music Video" - the artist is filmed performing their piece in a natural manner, using 2 matched cameras . We shoot it 2 - 3 times, then edit the finished piece to produce a "live concert look."

"Augmented Performance Music Video" - the artist is filmed in a more commercial manner (lip-syncing their piece) with special effects (either done on set via camera movement, lighting, talent placement etc., or added later in post production). The piece is edited to produce a more "MTV" look.

"Concept Music Video" - Might be filmed in several locations using multiple camera techniques. This is usually a concept that may or may not follow the direction of the lyrics but does follow the direction of the concept (for example, having a recurring visual element repeatedly be present).

"Scripted Music Video" - This style is the most complex because it is literally a mini movie that follows the direction of the lyrics almost exclusively. It most often requires a few extra crew members who all work in sync with the director. It also may have parts that have the music talent as an actor (with dialogue), depending on the script.

 

 

Web Shows

Lakota Hoksila Productions has been producing a music/interview show for the web called "Live from Souls Tavern" since 2009. We are proud to be partnered with Souls and Sounds Productions on their bi-monthly show and are responsible for getting it from their studio to the web as VOD (video on demand).
